Event 01: Health Promotion and Dementia
This first event in the series will provide an opportunity for participants to learn about the health promotion framework and conceptual model currently under development at the Alzheimer Society of Ontario (ASO). This work includes the creation of a toolkit for clients with Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) to be used by chapter members across the province, as well as formal inventory-taking, gap analysis and capacity building among staff to incorporate in the emerging framework. Following this, we will explore specific approaches and programs available for persons with early stage dementia in B.C. and briefly outline some of the considerations and challenges.
